Hemkund Sahib is a popular pilgrimage site in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand and is located at an elevation of 15,000 ft.

Dedicated to the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, this gurudwara is visited by millions of people every year.

Apart from the magnificent gurudwara that is located here, Hemkund Sahib is also known for the beautiful, chill alpine lake where pilgrims take a bath every year for holy blessings.

However, what really struck me about this place is the beautiful mountain setting where the Gurudwara and the lake are located.

Nestled amidst the snow-covered mountains, the lake reflects the beautiful scenery in its clear water and the trek itself goes through a charming scenery that makes you fall in love with this place.
